let's get fucked up and die

...i'm speaking figuratively, of course... i'm just so happy with the news!

YES, they're back [with a capital H], and the first song you can download,
from the new album My -wait for it- Dinosaur Life [just plain awesomeness!],
is called 'Disappear' and, yet again, does not disappoint.
this is what i just love about MCS - you know how you're always scared when your favorite band announces a new album and you are like 'please let it not suck' cause it would just be one less important part of your life where you wont be let down,
well they never did. <3

so here's my collage for it, and here's the link to the new song.
grab it before it dissapears [they said that...]

ps.blur

here's my first meek attempt at it, and as soon as i'm able to leave the house post-wisdom-teeth-removal-pains free, and less pumpkin-faced, i will be learning more about it.
so that's my window lights.. i didn't even have to get off the laptop..

recently i've developed a great interest in photography with a bokeh effect, a type of soft focus of the background enhanced by light distortion. the best thing about it is that it either focuses on small details of the whole picture, whilst not ignoring the importance of the background composition [it works better when there are more objects,in quantity and color], or just on nothing but streetlights through a rainy window glass. and this is what i find most amazing about it. it enhances the attention to the detail, and also makes you wonder what wonderful things hide in the background. it just shows you to pay attention to the things that make one moment important enough for you [to take a picture] and to not forget that different things look better in different context [background]...
as an example, again, you can check out the talented dutch photographer Siebe Warmoeskerken of De Vetpan Studios.

this or that..

filling out your CV for online job applications isn't something of grand importance to anyone's life, but it had me deep in thoughts last night.
all your experience, narrowed down to 20-something drop menus.
and i found myself asking the question 'is this what i've had going the last five years? is it really all?' and in five years from now, is it going to feel the same doing this?
i guess we all are the sum of our decisions [spare me the alternative universes speech, please].and that this should really be something to keep in mind for those next five years.

je parle french now

well, i don't, but i really like this song,
and i'll be trying to learn it,
because i just adore the lyrics [pun intended..]

Boire mon café noir
Me lever en retard
Pleurer sur un trottoir...

drink champagne on wednesdays, cause thursdays are for cinema now!

Well, well, it took them about a year or two,
but alas you can go see a movie for less money somewhere where the popcorn is nicer,
and there's much better places to dine and shop before or after the film.
i was seriously getting allergic to the CCS mall. first off - it's in the centre, but there's no direct transport to it, the shops are all for old ladies, and the popcorn and service basically suck.
Do enjoy your thursdays at either one of the Arena cinemas, or at The Mall, just for
4lv up until 18:00 and for 5lv after..

sssss!

Cobra Starship ft. Leighton Meester video, i admit i expected a little more on their new album, lyric-wise, but much sense isn't much fun, and that's def what this song is, so - enjoy!

ps. do follow leighton, she already has some cool songs on the net somewhere, killer voice. recording with gabe saporta and filming with ed westwick, i am seriously jealous! xoxo

and since i'm at it, here's a little more music promo with some new brit chicks that grabbed my attention:
#1 Florence and The Machine - Kiss with a Fist
heard it in a german vodafone commercial in summer. very kate nash gets tough kinda <3also href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwsg3Czyl78&feature=related">Drumming Song

#2 Ladyhawke - Paris is Burning
cool. fullstop.

#3 La Roux - Bulletproof
ok, i know she's all the hype now anyway, and generally i tend to ignore those, but that song [also Quicksand] really deserves a place on your daily playlists.
